Candle Care Guide
A little care goes a long way in helping your candle burn beautifully and safely. Follow these simple steps to make the most of your favorite scent :
Before Lighting
-
Trim the Wick: Cut the wick to about ¼ inch before each burn. This helps prevent flickering flames, soot, and smoke.
-
Check for Cleanliness: Ensure the wax surface is free of dust, matches, or wick trimmings before lighting.
While Burning
-
Choose the Right Spot: Set your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, vents, open windows, and anything flammable. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
-
Allow a Full Melt Pool: Let the wax melt all the way to the edges during the first burn to prevent tunneling and promote an even burn.
-
Limit Burn Time: Enjoy your candle for no more than 3–4 hours at a time to avoid overheating.
-
Stay Close: Never leave a burning candle unattended.
After Extinguishing
-
Recenter the Wick: If needed, gently nudge the wick back to the center while the wax is still soft to maintain an even melt next time.
-
Store with Care: Keep the lid on when not in use and store your candle in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight.
-
Know When to Stop: Discontinue use when about ½ inch of wax remains to prevent overheating the container.
